This shows that there are several repairs needed to the building but nothing that we were not aware of.

We feel that funding for the repairs can be found via various grants, especially since the building is grade B listed and in a conservation area.

The following is a summary of the report

  • The crack in the tower is repairable now that the cause is known.
  • The major issue is drying the building out after all the repairs and water ingress has been solved.
  • Drying the building could mean the removal of all the lathe and plaster and its reinstatement.
  • There is a need to understand why the gutters keep overflowing and come to a long term solution for this issue.
